Au Contraire

My sister insisted that I watch One Tree Hill...so I'm watching it. I wasn't interested before because I knew it would be the "Oh my God, she stole my boyfriend!" kind of thing...but I watched it for my sister's sake. It DID turn out to be like how I thought it would, but I'll have to admit, after a couple of episodes you get kind of hooked. I'm not talking about the plot here, since that's proven to be quite predictable so far, but the characters seem to become like your friends...Aww! Yes, how very cute!
For those of you who are familiar with the show, I think I like Nathan the most out of all the characters, oh yeah, and Keith. (Yes, I chose the boys...I never choose the girls! :P )

This brings me to another point I'd like to mention, and that's that I always like the ones that everybody else hates. ALWAYS! And it can be frustrating at times, because nobody can relate to what I'm feeling or experiencing...which is a real bummer! But I shouldn't let myself down because of that right? Amethyst always tells me, "Not everybody has to like what you like!" and yeah, I guess she's right...I just hope people'd understand how I feel about stuff sometimes...

Randomness:
There's something about seeing a bunch of sharpened pencil colours that makes me happy :P Does that happen to you? Not just with coloured pencils, with anything...

Lots of stuff give me that feeling, I just said coloured pencils because that's what I see in front of me now...

Insomnia

It seems the forces of nature have taken a disliking to me...

I went to bed with a clogged up nose, so I had to breathe through my mouth all night...!

Also, some workers decided that the-middle-of-the-night was a perfect time to drill a hole in the road outside my bedroom window...I swear it felt like they we're drilling at my head...and with the flu, that isn't really necessary since you've got the headache along with the clogginess as a special offer!

Last, but definately not least, at one interval where I had to wake up and then try and go back to sleep again, I felt a searing pain in my lower lip, and it felt like it was swelling pretty quickly...! This morning I wake up and I look like I had been to the plastic surgeon...those damn mosquitoes!!!

Movie Review: Evening

A beautiful movie indeed! It was just really beautiful.

Ann Lord, a presently sick old dying lady, hovers between reality and memories from the past. We are swept into an emotional reverie full of love, misery and lost opportunities. Ann's experiences puzzle but give hope to her two daughters who realise that we are all very mysterious creatures.

The cast is truly a line-up of stars. Claire Danes, Hugh Dancy and Toni Collette deliver exceptionally deep performances with remarkable appearances by Meryl Streep and Glenn Close. Dancy was absolutely stunning playing the vivacious yet tragic Buddy, and Mamie Gummer (Meryl Streep's daughter) who plays Lila shows promising talent.

The costumes, set design and soundtrack are perfect and they help the audience enter into the film's atmosphere.

The movie is based on the novel, under the same title, by Susan Minot. I haven't read it but it has surely made it to my "To Read" list.

Special thanks to my dear friend Zooza who thought this was my kind of movie...it was!

I'll leave you with one of my favourite scenes:

F. says: Hello

Hello,
It's F. I'm so excited to be blogging again. You see, I used to have a blog but I stopped posting because I became really busy and I wasn't as committed to my blog as I thought I was. Yes, that is a very cliché reason to stop blogging, but then again...
I know it's a nuisance to start all over (as I am finding it incredibly difficult to write my first post) get regular visitors and so on, but I think it's a great chance to try again at expressing myself. I believe I've changed since my last blogging experience so this will be different and hopefully enjoyable for you and me, so we'll see how things go!
